Bring the rain

Today we up the ante.

Today we commence nuclear warfare.

The sun is rising, the house is silent and I’m preparing myself mentally for the day ahead.

I am not feeling brave.

I am not feeling heroic.

I’m just a man doing what has to be done.

Any strength I have today comes from the knowledge that God is with me.

The surgeons have reviewed the strategy. The battle plans are confirmed. The nuclear weapons are ready and standing by.

You may see a solitary man walking the corridors of the hospital today, but if you look past the visible to the unseen, you’ll see.

I’ve brought my own army.

Ten thousand of Heaven’s fiercest fighters. Itching for a fight.

Their commander?

God himself.

We’re comin’ for ya cancer.

Today.

Count on it.

  23. You and your family are in my prayers. I would like to encourage you to visit http://www.beinhealth.com. Henry Wright discusses biblical blocks to healing and their christian ministry has seen many people completely healed of cancer. Our family just attended his confernece last week for healing of our sons with chronic illnesses. It was an amazing conference and very insightful. We are already noticing significant improvements in their health. He also has a book called A More Excellent Way and a small book about cancer that may be particularly helpful. God bless you and your family.

  28. Kristian,
I have been reading this blog for a while and I always hope for a positive post. Please keep pushing on and know that you have a legion of friends praying for you every day. I wish no one had to go through what you do every day. You have a beautiful family and the most positive attitude I have ever heard of. You have what it takes, and no one can take it away. Guts, Love, Determination, Purpose, and most importantly, FAITH. Our God is a good one and is taking this journey with you, and you know and accept that. You are going to triumph over the cancer (notice the lower-case c) and prove to any and all that you are going to prevail. I pray for you, Kristian, be strong, and be well.

  36. Hi. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. I saw your video to Rachel on a webstie in NZ and thought it was beautiful. Stay strong both for yourself and your beautiful family. I am 28 and my partner is 31 and we have also just come out of a 2 year battle with him having Leukemia. Its been a tough road but is amazing on the other side I promise. The closeness you thought you felt before to each other will be strengthened beyond what you can ever imagine…and life goes back to normal. Its amazing. Sending you lots of good vibes.

  40. I just learned of a colleague’s suicide today, and it pains me that he selfishly left this world with a healthy body when others are fighting so hard to live. I’m not religious but I wish you all the strength and courage of the world to get through this SIRT.

An excerpt from a beautiful poem that has helped me in many traumatic events of my life; Desiderata:
“Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

    Beyond a wholesome discipline,
    be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
    no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
    keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”

Big love to you and your family xx
